This reimagining of Up In Them Guts (2004) by Planes Mistaken For Stars draws on the record’s raw collision of post-hardcore ferocity and ragged Americana grit.

The album’s lyrical themes—marked by disillusionment, intimacy, decay, fleeting joy, and restless escape—are embodied as ghosts in endless procession, metaphors for guilt, addiction, and loss repeating in an infinite loop. These hauntings carry the weight of fractured intimacy, self-destruction, and exhaustion, yet also moments of defiance and cathartic release.

Typographic inspiration comes from the band’s courier-style logo and pre-digital methods like type, etching, and woodcut, evoking a handmade, visceral quality.
